In the digital era, technology is a critical success factor for companies in financial services and beyond. When it works properly, technology helps organizations gain a competitive edge, enabling them to innovate and bring new products to market faster.

Our approach

Together with our client, we work through three questions:

  • How does information technology contribute to the business vision, now and going forward?
  • What is the current state of IT, and where do we want it to be? How do we close the gaps we identify?
  • How do we get to that new state, given the company's budget and other planned investments?

The starting point for any IT strategy is the business strategy itself. We begin by reviewing and assessing the current IT state, to understand its strengths and weaknesses — technologically, but also in terms of processes, organization, and internal talent.

Based on the company's strategic priorities, we build an IT transition plan toward the optimized target state. Such a plan has short-, medium-, and long-term components, and covers process optimization, talent and skills development, IT infrastructure, applications, and IT security.

In the final stage, we factor in budget constraints and the company's other planned investments, to arrive at a realistic action plan.
